StreetCameras Software
At the heart of the StreetCameras system lies a powerful software package that incorporates the image comparison
engine along with a configuration interface and a playback utility.
StreetCameras
The main software module processes the input from all the cameras, comparing successive images for changes and triggering
the Email and SMS alerts. It stores all recorded images to the local drive, up to an allocated limit, and uploads these
at intervals to the StreetCameras server where they are available to be viewed through your Member Area interface.
This module also comprises the main configuration screens where you can adjust your entire system to suit your personal
needs. Each camera can be individually calibrated for colour, contrast, brightness and sensitivity, as well as having
individual settings for how you want images stored, published, shared and what alerts they should raise. You can also set
the system to two states - locked and unlocked - as with a burglar alarm, which can be switched manually or by setting a
timer property.
StreetCameras Player
The Player module allows you to browse all the images recorded by your system that are stored on your local hard drive.
Simply select a camera and a time frame and watch the action. Standard play facilities also include the ability to scroll
through images at the speed you choose. Image sequences can also be exported and saved as AVI files for sharing, storage
or other uses.
StreetCameras Publisher
The Publisher runs more as a background application and is the module that interfaces with the StreetCameras web server.
Any changes you make to your system or camera settings are uploaded, along with image captures, through this program.
Operating Systems
The StreetCameras software will run on the following Microsoft Operating Systems:
